Embedded Presentations
Now you can embed presentations! From the editor just hit the publish button, make your presentation public and copy the code into your website!
As always, feel free to leave comments or suggestions.
Thanks.
Do not write it, preZentit!

It’s been a while since we launched the new interface and this blog haven’t been updated since that time. Let me tell you that in the following days you’ll see some changes in PreZentit.
We’re going to add new features as well as reevaluate the existing ones in order to create better PreZentations.
Just wanted to tell you that one of the new features is going to be embedded presentations.
As always, please feel free top drop any comment or suggestion.
Thanks.

Today we released the new editor interface with a better design and more functions!
What can you do with the new interface?
You can download the presentation directly from the PreZentit editor.
There are also options for publishing, like making it public or private, obtaining the presentation URL, and we are also working in generating the code to embed the presentation in a web page.
Aother new function is share, in which you can invite editors to work on the same presentation that you’re editing and manage the invitations.
We have a new transition selector with new animations ans preview of the transitions.

The new color selector allows editing the slide background color, text color and object background color. And now, in addition to the color wheel we have the color palette and RGB.
The next thing in our list is themes, we have a lot of great ideas for that and we must release that functionality in a couple of days.
We hope you like the new editor, don’t forget to send any suggestion or doubt you may have.

We are changing the editor interface. Why?
First, because we wnat to include more functions in it, for example, inviting collaborators or making the presentation public or private, and second, because we want a better looking interface.
Let me tell you what I’m talking about:
Here is the color picker as you know it.
Yes. we liked it, but we thought we could make a better color picker so…
It has more functions, and is easier to use.
The new interface will be finished in 4 days, meanwhile, we decided that the 30 presentations limit was wrong, so now there’s no limit. You can create as many presentations as you want.
Of course 30 MB for uploading images will not work with unlimited presentations, so we increased it from 30 MB to 250 MB.
We hope that all this changes will let you create more powerful presentations.

Today we added a new language to PreZentit, now you’ll be able to choose between English, Spanish and Portuguese.

We want to thank Juan Diego Polo for his contribution. Diego translated like 95% of the site, I translated the rest of it remembering the couple of months of Portuguese lessons I took last year.
I may have some mistakes, so if you catch them, please let me know ![]()
We also have a couple of things to tell you, but that will be in another post.
Thanks again Diego!

It would be awesome to download your presentations right?
Well… now you can do it!
All you have to do is to press the download button (the one with this icon) and you’ll start downloading a zip file containing your presentation.
Once downloaded, you can see it with the show.html file which will be something like this (but with you presentation title).

Press the Show button and you’re done!
One more feature in PreZentit. Thanks to all the users who send this suggestion, we’re still working to make a better webapp, so please keep sending feedback.
Thanks again.

Yes, today the number of people who opened a PreZentit account reached 100. We are flattered and surprised. Also in the last days we have had a huge rise in the visits to our website which makes us very glad, but also encourage us to work harder (more than the usual 12 hours a day).

All this is thanks to you, and to celebrate it, today we increased the space in your PreZentit account.
When we launched PreZentit the accounts have a limit of 10 presentations and space for 10 MB in images.
Now, the new accounts allow 30 presentations and 30 MB for images, we also increased the image size to upload from 800 KB to 900 KB.
But we want to thank to the 100 first users (they are really 115 at the time) so, for all of them the limit of presentations is now 50 and they have 50 MB for storing images.
Thanks for a being part of PreZentit!
Don’t forget that we are here for you, so keep sending your suggestions and opinions.

Finally the editor has one of the most basic features of any modern software: Undo and Redo. Even though make it work meant more time and effort I expected/wanted (now I know the difference between “basic” and “trivial”) .

Like any desktop software you can use the buttons or the usual keybindings: Ctrl+Z to Undo and Ctrl+Y to Redo.
These commands only affect the changes you do while the editor is still open. Regardless of the presentation is shared or not.
To the others it will be the same than any other change you do.
The best thing of undo/redo is than it lets you to experiment, to try thing without knowing what will be the result. If you don’t like it, you can always go back.
In addition, those “You really want to do that?” messages can be left aside. They actually doesn’t work: Most of the time you are sure and they are only an unnecessary delay. Even if you are not, you could push “Yes” by mistake. Many people do mechanically, only to remove from their sight that annoying message.
Ok. PreZentit still have two of those messages: When erasing an image and a whole presentation… but any day of these we will make them to disappear… (”The Godfather” music plays in the background).
